PFAS Treatment project

Water Replenishment District of Southern California, CA

MKN is providing continuous support services to the Water Replenishment District of Southern California for their PFAS Remediation Program. WRD is the largest groundwater agency by population in California and serves over 40 cities within the LA County. Ryan Gallagher served as Project Manager alongside Cindy Sevilla Esparza as Assistant Manager while working with the WRD team by managing documents, preparing materials summarizing regulatory updates, and providing an earned value analysis. The Water Replenishment District of Southern California detected PFAS in multiple groundwater wells and decided to invest over $60M into this program to help pumpers design and implement systems that will treat the issue and improve their water quality.

We are pleased to be able to coordinate with the Water Replenishment District of Southern California on another project aiding in their implementation of a Remediation Program to treat wells exceeding PFOA/PFOS/PFBS contaminant levels.
