The Office of Michael K. Nunley & Associates, Inc. (MKN) is seeking a highly motivated Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineer who is excited to become part of a growing, highly respected water resources engineering and planning firm to work at our newest location in San Jose. We are a rapidly growing, team-oriented and highly motivated group with locations in Arroyo Grande, Bakersfield, Fresno, Ventura, Irvine and now San Jose. Duties:
Project and client management; design of water and wastewater infrastructure; hydraulic modeling of water resources, water delivery systems, water/wastewater treatment and wastewater collection systems; preparation of hydraulic calculations and reports; site visits and coordination with clients and staff; performing quantity takeoffs and developing cost estimates; developing technical studies and reports; performing technical research such as product information, design codes, regulatory standards; analysis of water resources management strategies; program and construction management support; and review and development of environmental compliance and permitting strategies. Staff engineers will be expected to engage in business management activities, support staff development and strategic growth. Under the mentorship of Principal and Senior Engineers, you will gain valuable experience on our various projects and ultimately advance your career to a senior level position. You will grow in developing relationships with clients, collaborating with fellow MKN team members across California, participating in professional societies such as ASCE, and achieve great professional and personal development success.
Expectations:
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as well as eagerness and enthusiasm to serve in both field and office positions on a wide variety of planning and engineering projects throughout California.
Requirements & Experience:
Position requires a B.S. in Civil, Agricultural or Environmental Engineering, with a minimum of three years’ experience. An M.S. is also preferred although not required for this position. P.E. licensure in California or other US state is required. Proficient with MS office is required. Applicant should identify any prior experience working in AutoCAD as well as InfoWorks, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, BioWIN, and other modeling programs.

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation based on experience and qualifications. The firm offers highly competitive salaries (approx. range $115,000 to $130,000).
